I have taken all the basic and some more advanced college-level courses while maintaining a 4.0 grade point average. I achieved first-place in the Sigma Kappa Delta National Writing Contest for two consecutive years. I am drawn to tutoring because it gives me the rare opportunity to act in both a selfless and selfish way. In the selfless sense, I get to help fellow students gain momentum in their academics and, in doing so, give them a deeper foothold for their next step in education. And, more selfishly, teaching others helps solidify my own knowledge of the subjects.
